AngioDynamics provides benefits to patients by being the leader in design, development, manufacturing and marketing of innovative, proprietary, therapeutic devices used by interventionalists and surgeons for the minimally invasive treatment of peripheral vascular disease, tumor therapy and other, non-vascular diseases. Our summer internship program will give interns a project based learning experience that will strive to build your understanding of how a medical device business operates, enhance your skillset and grow your network. This internship will provide practical, professional experience for the college student while contributing to the overall goals of the Information Technology (IT) team.

The IT Service Desk Intern will be exposed to multiple facets of IT including service management, security, networking, and basic system administration. Overview of projects and tasks include troubleshooting, upgrading, or replacing computer hardware and software, investigating and reporting on OS-level security features, facilitating services with vendors, and performing preventative maintenance on systems.

The intern will assume a primary role in projects working either independently or as part of a team, as well as perform other activities that will support the over all objectives of the area they are assigned to.
  • Work with customers to back up data, perform in-place upgrades and/or complete replacement of their PCs, restore data, ensure full functionality, and coach customers on new features.
  • Utilize external documentation to research Windows 10 security features not currently in place. Report on findings, including an overview of each feature, as well as time and steps to implement.
  • Create and execute a preventative maintenance plan for PCs and printers.
  • Work on projects that will help develop analytical, audit, research, testing and validation skills.
  • Attend and participate in department meetings.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and forms.
  • Use Excel, Word, Project Management, or Visio to create correspondence, spreadsheets, forms, graphs, flowcharts, etc.
  • Provide customer service to the department’s internal and external customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
