Job Description

Ensures receipt of finished goods and shipment of customer orders occurs in a timely and compliant manner. Provides Carrier and transportation requirements both inbound and outbound for the Distribution Center. Provide Leadership for material movement, Quality Compliance, and Inventory Compliance in the Distribution Warehouse. Responsible for moving, storing, picking, packing and shipping finished goods such that material damage is minimized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement strategic (international and domestic) distribution methods (all modes) to maintain service to external and inter-company customers.

    • Corporate Routing Guide
    • Service levels: Priority vs. Deferred
    • Freight Claims
    • Door, Port, Airport, Domicile
  • Ensure accurate Inventory Control and Inventory Control practices in the Distribution Warehouse.
    • Execute inventory control practices such as Cycle Counts and Bay Audits.
    • Measure schedule compliance and Inventory Accuracy.
    • Ensure compliance to corporate finance audit expectations and regulations.
  • Support site's Continuous Improvement plan
    • Initiate, Implement, or Project lead Value in Product (VIP) projects to reduce cost.
    • Initiate, Implement, or Project lead Lean initiatives (Kaizen) to reduce non value add elements of material movement.
    • Implement Set in Order practices to improve efficiency of material movement.
  • Provide Leadership, Metrics and Guidance for the Distribution Team.
    • Design and Implement a Department Scorecard to include Quality, Cost, Service, and People Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
    • Establish team goals aligned with Site Goals
    • Track, Trend, Post, and Action Plan Metric Results for Continuous Improvement.
  • Mentor and develop employees through meaningful Performance Appraisal (PADR) system.
    • Develop programs and controls to meet or exceed all regulatory requirements.

    • Employee training on procedures, documents, systems
    • Record maintenance
    • Safety and GMP compliance
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviews, budgets, invoice approvals, communications, counseling, training, Employee development, and performance measurements.
  • Ensure timely resolution and disposition of all Non Conformance Reports (NCRs), Quality Incidents (QI), and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) as related to the Distribution Center
  • Ensure timely resolution of Corrective Action/Preventive Actions (CAPA) related to the Distribution Center.
  • Provide Leadership and training to meet internal and external Quality Compliance requirements.
  • Ensure execution and compliance to applicable site and corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI’s), and Operation Codes (Op Codes).
  • Prepare for and Participate in site’s Monthly Manager’s Review.
  • May perform other duties as assigned
